Your privacy matters. Here's how I protect it.

PictoTalk is built with privacy at its core. Your communication boards, sentences, and vocabulary stay on your device. I collect only what's necessary to run the app, and I never sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising.
PictoTalk is an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) app for iOS and macOS. It stores your communication boards locally on your device and connects to the internet only for pictogram search, analytics, and subscription management. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.
PictoTalk does not collect any of the following:
All communication boards, pictogram layouts, vocabulary, and preferences are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export and share it. Deleting the app removes all local data.
When you search for pictograms, PictoTalk connects to the PictoApps backend to retrieve search results and images. Search queries are used only to return results and are not stored or linked to your identity.
PictoTalk uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (by Google) to collect anonymous usage analytics and crash reports. This helps me improve the app and understand which features are most useful. Data collected includes:
Firebase Analytics does not collect advertising identifiers. Learn more at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
PictoTalk uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt data from Apple. It does not receive your name, email, or any personal information. Learn more at revenuecat.com/privacy.
PictoTalk connects to the internet for:
All network communication uses HTTPS encryption.
PictoTalk is designed to be used by parents, educators, and therapists alongside people who need AAC support. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. All boards and vocabulary are stored locally on the caregiver's device.
No advertising networks or cross-app tracking services are used.
Updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. I encourage you to review this page periodically.
